Prof. Alexy (*1980) ist Managementforscher und untersucht, wie Organisationen wirksam mit Unsicherheit umgehen können. Wie kann man neue Technologien erfolgreich entwickeln und in den Markt einführen? Wie kann man sogenannte Innovationsökosysteme nutzbringend gestalten? Welche Rolle werden neue Organisationsformen wie "crowds" zukünftig spielen? Diese Fragen beantwortet Prof. Alexy zusammen mit Start-ups und Unternehmen aus der ganzen Welt in mehrfach durch Wissenschaft und Praxis ausgezeichneten Arbeiten.

Prof. Alexy studierte Wirtschaftsinformatik an der Universität Regensburg (2005) und promovierte in BWL an der TUM (2008). Anschließend trat er eine Postdoc Stelle am Imperial College London an und wurde dort 2011 zum Assistenzprofessor auf Zeit ernannt. Forschungsaufenthalte führten ihn an die Harvard Business School und das Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2008) und das Politecnico di Milano (2011). Im Jahr 2012 wurde er an der TUM als Assistant Professor für Strategic Entrepreneurship berufen und im Jahr 2017 zum Associate Professor (mit Tenure) ernannt.
