Real Estate Studies and Town Planning
Professor Ottmann studied political economics in Freiburg and Munich and received a doctorate in 1995 from the Catholic University of Eichstätt and Ingolstadt. His thesis dealt with urban development contracts. Since 1994 he has been director of Südhausbau, and since 2004 its sole managing partner. He has had teaching assignments at the University of Augsburg and at LMU Munich and currently lectures at TUM. His lectures focus on real estate management, strategic controlling, project management and value chain management within the context of the portfolio.
Professor Ottmann is also actively involved in the real estate industry. He is a member of the advisory board of BayernLabo and of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Spatial Planning (DASL). He is also vice president of the Bavarian association of free real estate and housing companies (BFW).
