Career

Professor Sodeikat studied civil engineering at TUM. After graduating he worked as a research associate at the Institute for Building Materials at TUM. In 2000 Professor Sodeikat received a doctorate for his research work on two layer concrete roads. In 2000 Professor Sodeikat became a partner in engineering firm Professor Schießl GbR. Since 2007 he has been managing partner of Schiessl Gehlen Sodeikat GmbH Consulting Engineers. Professor Sodeikat works as an expert and scientific advisor in the field of building inspections focusing on non destructive testing (NDT). In the field of NDT he is a member of several committees and involved in the creation of standards and testing guidelines. Other fields of activity are planning the restoration and repair of historic buildings, parking garages and civil engineering structures and providing expert advice on fair faced concrete structures and infrastructure areas. Professor Sodeikat works as a consultant and scientific advisor on large-scale national and international projects and also as a court surveyor.

  • Managing Partner of Schießl Gehlen Sodeikat GmbH Consulting Engineers (since 2007)
  • Member of the Non Destructive Testing in Civil Engineering Committee of the German Society of Non Destructive Testing (DGZfP) (since 2006)
  • Teaching assignment at TUM lecturing on construction analysis and the repair and restoration of constructions (since 2003)
  • Partner in engineering firm Professor Schießl, Munich (since 2000)
