Wissenschaftliche Laufbahn und Forschungsgebiete

Prof. Wolfs (*1974) Forschungsgebiet ist die Mathematische Physik, insbesondere das Gebiet der Quanten-Informationstheorie.

Prof. Wolf studierte Physik an der LMU München und der Universität Heidelberg. Nach einer Diplomarbeit in experimenteller Hochenergiephysik (1999) folgte die Promotion in Mathe­matischer Physik an der TU Braunschweig (2003), woraufhin er am Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik in Garching arbeitete. 2008 ging er als Ole Roemer-Professor an das Niels Bohr Institut in Kopenhagen. Seit 2011 ist Prof. Wolf Ordinarius an der TUM.
