Prof. Hausteiner-Wiehle studied at LMU München and Universität Witten/Herdecke. She is a board-certified psychosomatist and psychiatrist, after clinical training in neurology (Städt. Klinikum Wuppertal-Barmen) psychosomatic medicine, psychotherapy, and psychiatry (Klinikum rechts der Isar, TUM). Since 2013 she runs the psychosomatic consultation-liaison service and acts as psychological supervisor at BG Unfallklinik Murnau. Since 2017 she is apl. professor for psychosomatic medicine at TUM.
