Career

Between passing his first state law examination in 1985 and earning his doctoral degree in 1989, Professor Kuchler worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Public Law at the University of Freiburg in Breisgau. Since passing his second state law examination in 1989 he has worked as an attorney specializing in public building, planning and environmental law, and in public commercial law. Between 1993 and 1998 Professor Kuchler was a lecturer at the Law School of the University of Leipzig. He has been lecturing on planning and environmental law at TUM since 2002. He was appointed honorary professor at TUM on April 4, 2008.
