Career

Peter Murray completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research) in 1991. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute & Department of Biology, MIT, Boston (1991-1998).

In 1998 he joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN in the Department of Infectious Diseases as an Assistant Member and was promoted to Associate Member in 2005. In  2014 he became a Full Member.

Since July 2017 Peter Murray is head of the research group “Immunoregulation“ at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried.
