Academic Career and Research Areas
The research of Prof. David Daniel Ebert (*1979) centers on the development and evaluation of digital interventions that make psychological strategies for prevention, health promotion, and the treatment of mental health problems effective, early, and easily accessible. His work aims to improve mental health care and reduce barriers to evidence‑based support. Further research interests include the mental health of university students and the development of multivariate prediction models for mental health trajectories.
Prof. Ebert studied music and mathematics at Leuphana University Lüneburg and received his PhD in psychology from Marburg University in 2013. He has held academic positions in Marburg, Lüneburg, and Amsterdam, as well as at Harvard Medical School in Boston. In 2018, he completed his habilitation at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. He then served as Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Since 2021, he has been Professor of Psychology and Digital Mental Health Care at TUM.
