Academic Career and Research Areas
Prof. Gschlößl is a biologist whose thematic focus is on limnology and physiology. Her doctoral thesis dealt with the significance of calmoduline as a structural element of the enzyme phosphorylasekinase employing electron-microscopical methods. Within the framework of her habilitation thesis (2002) she thoroughly investigated various aspects of bioengineering and waste water biology. Since 1992 she takes an active part as a scientist in the field of climate reseach. She campaigns for „Mädchen machen Technik“ and is committed to mentoring.
