Career

Professor Dr. Godde studied civil engineering at TUM majoring in hydro-engineering. He subsequently earned his doctoral degree at the Institute of Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering of TUM in Obernach/Germany for his thesis on hydropower.
Professor Godde then went on to assume various managerial positions in the construction industry in Germany and abroad, including multiyear assignments at hydro-engineering construction sites in China and Lesotho, and most recently as manager director of a branch of HOCHTIEF AG (construction and civil engineering, power plant construction in Europe, dam construction worldwide). In 2004 he became managing director of E.ON Wasserkraft GmbH in Landshut/Germany, responsible for the operation and new development of hydropower plants in Germany. As director of E.ON Generation GmbH he is currently responsible for the technical and strategic management of E.ON hydropower plants in Germany, Sweden, Italy and Spain. For several years he has been sharing his practical knowledge and experience as a lecturer at TUM’s Institute of Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering.
