Career

Professor Moll studied mathematics at LMU Munich (1964-1970). He earned his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in computer science from the same university in 1978. Between 1970 and 1979 Professor Moll was a member of the research staff at the Leibniz Supercomputing Center (LRZ) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Subsequently he was a non-permanent member of the Academic Council at LMU Munich representing the field of computer science (1979-1981). In 1981 he joined HYPO-BANK München where he worked in the field of electronic data processing. From 1986 to 1998 he was CIO of the bank. In 1994 Springer Verlag published Professor Moll’s book entitled “IT Management”. During the course of his career he has also been a director with full power of attorney of Merck Finck & Co, the Munich-based private bank (1998-1999), CEO of KORDOBA Banking Software GmbH & Co. KG (1999-2000) and an IT management consultant specializing in the organization of data processing centers, quality assurance and risk analysis (since 2000).
