Prof. Dr. Amelie Hagelauer
Academic Career and Research Areas
Prof. Hagelauer conducts research in microelectronics, focusing on integrated high-frequency and mixed-signal circuits for communication, radar, and sensing systems. Her work centers on RF IC design, energy-efficient analog front-ends, and system architectures for 5G/6G & AI-based signal processing. She also studies the design, modeling, and characterization of microacoustic devices such as SAW and BAW resonators for mobile front-end applications.
Prof. Hagelauer studied mechatronics at FAU and received her doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 2013. From 2016 to 2019, she led a research group in Electronic Circuits. She then served as Professor of Communication Electronics at the University of Bayreuth. Since September 2021, she has been Director of Fraunhofer EMFT and holds the Chair of Micro- and Nanosystems Technology.
