Academic Career and Research Areas

Prof. Hartl (*1951) did research in Euclidean and non-Euclidean differential geometry, in projective and higher geometry.

Prof. Hartl studied mathematics at the TUM, obtained his diploma in 1976 and his doctorate in 1979. For one year he taught Descriptive Geometry at the University of Kaiserslautern. He returned to TUM, qualified as a university lecturer in 1991, was appointed as apl. Prof. in 2001, and retired in 2017.
