Career

Peter Oertmann is an economist specializing in capital markets. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in 1997, holds an M.A. in Economics from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, USA, and a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Bielefeld, Germany. He has founded and built several companies. In addition, he has served for many years on executive committees of asset management companies in Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, as well as on investment committees of institutional investors. Today, as a mentor and investor, he accompanies young companies that deal with new concepts and technologies related to capital investment.

In addition to his professional career, he has always remained connected to Academia, with teaching assignments at the University of St. Gallen, the University of Basel and, since 2008, at the Technical University of Munich. He has published two books and more than 30 scientific and professional articles.
