Prof. Dr. Uwe Willberg

Career

After studying civil engineering at TUM (1984) and completing a post-graduate trainee program (1986) Professor Willberg worked on new bridge constructions at the Highway Authority of Northern Bavaria. Between 1998 and 2001 the Bavarian Highway Administration seconded him to the Department of Road, Railway and Airfield Construction at TUM where he acquired his PhD. From 2001 to 2003 Professor Willberg worked on new bridge constructions and structural maintenance at the Highway Authority of Northern Bavaria. Since 2003 he has been responsible for all bridge and civil engineering structures at the Highway Authority of Southern Bavaria.

• Department head, bridge and civil engineering structures at the Highway Authority of Southern Bavaria (since 2003)
• Head of bridge planning/construction and structural maintenance at the Highway Authority of Northern Bavaria (2001-2003)
• Senior executive/head of bridge planning and construction at the Highway Authority of Northern Bavaria (1986-2001)
