Chengguang Li is Professor of Strategic Management at the TUM School of Management of the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on strategic and international management, especially joint ventures (JVs), and mergers and acquisitions (M&As). His work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Management, among others. He is member of the editorial review board of the Journal of International Business Studies and Global Strategy Journal.

Professor Li studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and obtained a Master of Science from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a Master of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. He earned a doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich and worked as a post-doc at Paderborn University and as assistant professor at Ivey Business School.
